NOTE: This file is part of a NO FRILLS BUNDLE
you might rather buy!
This no frills practice is designed specifically for 2.G.3:
Partition circles and rectangles into two, three, or four equal shares, describe the shares using the words halves, thirds, half of, a third of, etc., and describe the whole as two halves, three thirds, four fourths. Recognize that equal shares of identical wholes need not have the same shape.
There are 3 worksheets of shapes to partition and shade.
The first 2 versions involve only halves, thirds, and fourths.
The last version includes fifths and sixths for your advanced students.
Answers are included, but there are multiple ways to partition each shape.
Suggestions for use:
*Do one version in class & send the other home for practice
*Print an answer sheet for students to check their own work
*Do one version now and save one for review later in the year
Centers and games are great reinforcement – but sometimes in the crunch, you just need some papers to send home, or to be able to differentiate easily! I’m working on a series of Common Core “No Frills Practice” for 2nd grade. THIS product and the list below are all part of this 2nd GRADE NO FRILLS BUNDLE
. Buy it now and re-download it for free as I update it with additional files. =)
