This resource is great for 2nd-grade science students who like interactive notebooks. My students seem to enjoy making interactive notebooks instead of regular worksheets. I enjoy them because I can easily send home resources for students to look at before a test.
Included are 9 pages with 6 different activities:
-Section Title: There are 2 choices: girl or boy.
-Horizon Definition: This page can be split up to use for 4 students. Students will write the definition of "horizon" and glue in their notebook.
-Sunrise & Sunset: Students will draw the sun in the sunrise and sunset position and label with "sunrise" and "sunset"
-Globe Definition: This page can be split up to use for 4 students. Students will write the definition of "globe" and glue in their notebook.
-Rotation Easel: These pages go over the words "rotation" and "axis". Students will complete the sentences with important facts about the earth's rotation.
-Day & Night: Students will shade the "night" side of the earth and label each side with either "day" or "night".
-Earth's Orbit: Students will create a model of the earth's orbit around the sun.
I hope you enjoy this resource. I plan on making more that go along with my science curriculum. Please let me know if you have ideas that you would like me to work on.
