This end-of-the-year book is a great way to remember a few happenings from throughout the year and to give classmates compliments or affirmations before leaving for the summer months.
Each student completes the first eight pages like a memory book. Topics include: This year I felt like a super hero, character traits that describe me, teacher character traits, stars from the year, wishes of the year, friends and why they were important, and I felt ...
Then after completing that part of the book. Play a game of SCOOT. The back of the book has pages for classmate compliments. Two compliments fit on a page. Classmates write an affirmation or compliment about each student while moving around the room in a game of SCOOT.
These booklets are half pages to save paper and are in black and white for easy copying. Simply copy, staple the upper and lower half, and cut with a paper cutter.
In my class we have done compliments every year. Students treasure these for years to come and look back on them often. I have had several students come back to tell me how they enjoyed this book and how it made them smile. Parents love this too, because it is a keepsake and they love the fact that each student is complimenting another.
This comes with 24 spaces for compliments, so all you have to is print it off and staple and hand to students. If you need more simply print more of the compliments pages off and staple in the booklet. Easy for the end of the year!
