Help your students practice their multiplication skills with these
task/scoot cards! (Scoot instructions included!)

Students can self-check answers by scanning the QR codes with an iPad, iPhone, etc.! (Scanning instructions included!)

These cards can easily be used as a math center and for many other purposes.


:: SPECIAL NOTE ::
Students will love self-checking their answers using the QR codes on the cards! QR codes are “quick response” barcodes that students can simply scan with a device (iPod, iPad, cell phone) that has a QR code reader/scanner downloaded on it. QR code readers/scanners are available for free on Apple and Android devices through the app store. Students will work out the multiplication problems one at a time and scan the QR code to immedialy assess their answers. This enables immediate feedback for the students which is fun and helps them to build confidence in their skills.


How to Play Scoot:

Scoot is a fun review game in which students will “Scoot” from desk to desk answering problems! This game can be used as a math center, an independent task, a review game or even a formative
assessment. These cards can also be used as task cards to be projected under a document projector.

Pass out the Scoot cards in the order in which you want the students to rotate through the classroom, placing them face down on each student’s desk. I suggest that before you actually play that you practice with your students the rotation they will be following.

Have each student push their chair in and stand at their desk with their Scoot Answer Sheet and a pencil. When you say “Go” every student will flip over their Scoot card and answer the question on their desk, making sure to put their answer in the correct box on their answer sheet. When all of the students (or the majority) have finished and flipped their card back over, say “Scoot”. They should immediately move to the next desk, flip that card and begin working the problem. Continue this pattern until every student has worked out every problem!
