~Ray Gun Rhymes~ Students have sight word cards and have to match them with rhyming words. Perfect for fluency and rhyming practice!
~Take Me to Your Leader~ An alien is speaking their strange language, which happens to be scrambled sight words! Students must unscramble the alien's words and a cheat sheet card is included of the words if needed.
~Alien Invasion~ This is a math and literacy center! It has students choose 10 sight word cards at random. They have to count the vowels in each word and graph their results on the included graph printable. A comprehension printable is also included in which students have to give the results of their graphs.
~Alien Read and Write~ Students choose a word card at random. They read the card and find the alien letter tiles to spell it. They spell the word on their card and record it on their recording sheet.
~3 2, 1...Blast Off!~ This is a center to be used with teacher and student. There are different "astronaut" word cards each with a list of sight words. Students read the list three times, trying to increase their time and fluency each time. The teacher can record their time and any notes on the included assessment recording sheet. This center includes cards of increasing levels, from Pre-Primer to First Grade.
~Moon Walk, I Have~Who Has- This is a wrap around game in which students have to read their sight word cards aloud. This is a whole-class game that features the entire First Grade sight word list.
~Star Gazing~ Students choose a star card at random. They write it on their recording sheets four times: in pencil, crayon, marker and finally again in pencil.
~Moon Walk Syllables~ Students sort tool cards into different syllable moon cards, according to the number of syllables in the word.
