This chart is a compilation of all questions stems from all released STAAR tests. Each question stem is sorted by the SE (student expectation) that it is tagged with on the STAAR test. The SE's are sorted by genre, and if your district is still following the scope and sequence of CScope, then each grouping is marked for the six weeks that you teach it in.
This is a powerful tool when studied. It can provide insight for you as you begin a new unit by giving you a more specific idea of what each SE's language really means when it's interpreted for the STAAR test. You can also quickly visually grasp which SE's tend to be tested more often without having to do any algebra to guess at how many R and S standards might or might not be tested. This is not to say that it's a prediction tool, but the trends can be enlightening.
The Figure 19 skills are embedded with each group rather than having a separate section as that is how they are tested and tagged.
Ever wonder what the test looks like for the grades above and below you but don't have the time read a 50 question test? The work here is done for you. This is a great resource to have in PLC's or vertical alignment teams.
