Product Description
This 8th Grade US history lesson is a higher level and creative activity for students to show their knowledge about the 3 colonial regions. Students can show their previous learned knowledge about the differences each colony presents: resources, climate, crops etc....

Students will complete graphic organizers on all 3 regions: government, people that found colony, why they found the colonial region, climate/geography, what type of colony. Assign groups a region and then they will write a play or rap showing the uniqueness of that region. Give the students the rubric ahead of time so that it can double as a direction sheet for what to include in their play or rap. My students spent 2-3 days writing their script and creating their artifact and it was 2 days performing their skits. They had a great time with this activity. PDF format
