This is a packet of three graphic organizers to help students learn how to write a rhetorical analysis essay.
This packet includes two of my other products:
"How to Write a Rhetorical Analysis for the AP Exam" (https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/How-to-Write-a-Rhetorical-Analysis-Essay-for-the-AP-Lang-and-Comp-Exam-1541269 )
"Rhetorical Analysis Essay Template-Updated" (https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/AP-Language-and-Composition-Rhetorical-Analysis-Essay-Template-Updated-1556453).
Please don't buy them if you buy this product (or vice-versa) because you will get repeat materials.
The organizers in this product move from simple to complex. Based on the needs of your students, you could use the first organizer and work your way to the third. If your students are strong and have a basic understanding of the rhetorical analysis essay, you may want to skip to the third organizer.
The first page of this document lists all the steps students need to be able to complete in order to write a successful rhetorical analysis essay. The second document is a graphic organizer, and each subsequent organizer gets closer to an actual essay. There are three scaffolding levels in this packet that you can use for any passage.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if you would like me to elaborate on anything. I hope this is helpful to you!
Word and PDF versions of the handouts included.
