Product Description
Come get this discounted offer of 3 sets of Upper Elementary movie guides for grades 4, 5 and 6. The pack includes the following movie comprehension questions + extras:
------------------------------------------------------------
1. Jumanji ($3.00)

This 5 page movie guide includes:
PART 1-
This has 20 questions in chronological order. I have included 2 sets of questions:
•Multiple choice for the lower level students + a few full sentence answers.
•Full sentence answers for the higher grades.

PART 2- This is a creativity section.
•In the first part, the students are to design a board game similar to Jumanji. They
name it, write the instructions and then draw it.
•In the second part the students have to imagine they’ve been sucked into the
Jumanji game and are now in the jungle. They have to write a diary entry for the
first day spent there. Needs to be about their experience and what they encounter.

This movie is about two kids who find and play a magical board game. They release a man trapped for decades in it and a multitude of dangers that can only be stopped by finishing the game.
------------------------------------------------------------
2. Chicken Run ($3.00)

This 5 page movie guide includes two parts to it:

Part 1 – 30 comprehension questions in chronological order. Answer sheet included. Ideally this is best done after the movie, so the students can write notes while watching. The last question is that all too well known conundrum "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?" which I'm sure will get some great responses from the students.

Part 2 – Creativity
• Students need to design something to help them escape the farm. They need to include instructions on how to use it, and an escape plan.
• Students to design a missing poster for the circus searching for “Rocky the Flying Rooster”. They have to include where he was last seen, who to contact, the reward, what he looks like and any other information they feel is important.

This movie is about an American circus cockerel who accidentally lands inside a chicken farm. The resident chickens use this as an opportunity to escape from the farm's evil owners .
------------------------------------------------------------
3. Disney's Zootopia ($3.00)

This 5 page movie guide includes:
The first part of this worksheet has tasks to do during the movie:

• The students have space to write down any animals they see and notes to help with the questions.
• Matching main characters with their corresponding animal and the connection between their name and animal type.
• One questions about their favourite character and why (when the movie finishes)

followed by 32 comprehension questions in chronological order which require full sentence answers.

A little bunny named Judy Hops leaves her family to pursue her dreams as the first bunny cop in Zootopia. Determined to prove herself, Judy jumps at the opportunity to solve a mysterious case. Unfortunately, that means working with Nick Wilde, a wily fox who makes her job even harder.

How can movies help students learn English?

Learning from movies is motivating and enjoyable
- Sometimes students need a change in style, and movies are generally an integral
part of a student's life.

Movies provides authentic and varied language
- It's always a good idea to introduce students examples of English in real
situations. This includes accents different to your own.

Movies gives a visual context
- This gives the student the ability to interpret the language in full visual context.
To see such visual supports as facial expressions and gestures simultaneously.

Variety and flexibility
- Movies can also act as a springboard for follow-up tasks such as discussions,
debates on social issues, role plays, reconstructing a dialogue or summarising.
