This year, I wanted to try a new set of classroom rules. I want the rules to be simple, to the point, and only a few so they can always remember them!! My school is very big on positive reinforcement, which I love! The first thing I thought about was, “how can I make my classroom rules more positive?” These 3 basic statements fit all of the rules I had before. Except now, if I student isn't follow a rule, I can't turn it into a positive statement that they can provide an answer for!
The 3 posters read:
(There are 2 choices for different styles)
This is also editable! It comes with 3 slides asking,
How can I be safe? How can I be responsible? How can I be respectful?
You can answer these questions whole group! Then, I have included a worksheet for the students to write their own answers. They are leveled for if your students are ready to write sentences or if they want to illustrate. In second grade, I will have my students do both, if they can!
