It is a good introduction to President Putin so your class will begin to understand this man and be motivated to keep an eye on him in the news each day. This article was published in the New York Times. This current event has 17 comprehension questions about the article and the questions can be done individually or in small groups. There is a vocabulary worksheet and two vocabulary tests that go along with the current event. The purpose of this product is to turn your students on to the news and encourage them to bring in other articles that they find on this developing situation. Turning a current event in to a comprehension sheet is a wonderful way to increase your student’s knowledge of current events and develop better reading skills at the same time.
