This offering is a three puzzle package of puzzles involving either William Shakespeare or his play, A Midsummer Night's Dream. Included are a vocabulary/matching puzzle with 15 words (13 needed to solve the puzzle, two extra). There is a word search on finding 17 of the characters in the play. And there's a crossword puzzle that would provide a nice look back at A Midsummer Night's Dream. The clues on A Midsummer Night's Dream are not too deep, but the puzzle WILL be enough to force some thinking. My solution page also explains some of my more "uncommon" answers. For younger students it might be best to work the puzzle in pairs or groups. It's intended to generate a challenge while providing some fun. Learning some new vocabulary is always a goal of mine in my crosswords. Remember! The point of a crossword is to have a little fun/challenge while you are learning something. You are not supposed to know each answer right away upon glancing at the clue. It would be no fun if you did. You’d have LEARNED nothing. (This is a message that might be imparted to your students.) I try to phrase enough of the clues so that a student/person will know many of the answers immediately . . . the rest of the clues I want to challenge the doer a little bit. When they’ve learned something through being challenged they’ll appreciate their accomplishment, and the experience, a lot more.
