This activity was designed to support the teaching of the 3 sounds of -ed.
It specifically targets spelling and complements the Orton-Gillingham approach.
Students will listen to the word cards read by the teacher and select the correct lane, based on the correct sound. They will then practice spelling the word, and "knocking down pins" based on the card.
There are 40 word cards total, and these words cover /t/, /id/, and /d/ words ending in
-ed. There are options for both 1 and 2 syllable words. Additionally, there are two pages of word lists included.
I use this regularly with my students, and it is an excellent way to reinforce their spelling.
