This is a great activity that targets 3-syllable word production for multisyllabic words. Children earn a track each time they produce the word, and have fun connecting the tracks. It's fun to reward them with a toy train to use at the end of the session so they can see their track in action and produce the words again as the train goes over the tracks. Each track includes a 3-syllable word and a visual for pacing. I usually point at each dot with a pen that they then use during their turn to increase focus on the syllables produced. These words can be targeted at the word, phrase, or sentence level. The activity as a whole can be used with an individual student, but is also great for groups to build a train track together and to target turn-taking skills.
