Some students pick up on factoring very quickly while other students need scaffolding in order to factor a problem. This activity provides 9 practice problems for students to complete but they are not all the same difficulty. Students can pick which level of problem they want to complete at each of the 9 problems (pink -- easy, orange -- medium, green -- hard). All of the trinomials have a leading coefficient of 1 but the different levels either have 2 multiple choice, 4 multiple choice, or no multiple choice to help solve the problem. Teachers should cut out the 9 problems and hang them around the room so that students can move around while solving the problems.
