Do you love to do small group math? I do too! I love for students to be actively engaged in an activity that keeps them learning. I created this sort to use while teaching my students how to add and subtract 3 digit numbers. This is an easy center or station to use during your small group rotations.
This set includes:
-an addition sort (True and False labels, 24 cards to sort)
-a subtraction sort (True and False labels, 24 cards to sort)
-a recording sheet for each set
Not much teacher prep needed; print, (I recommend cardstock so it lasts) laminate, and cut!
The students will have 2 categories (true/false) to sort the addition or subtraction cards into. If you are using the recording sheet, the students will write the card number in either the true or false category. If it is under the false category they will write the correct answer too.
You can use this as a center, independent work, partner work, or even in your own small group to check for understanding!
