Have you ever found that activity that your students just can't get enough of?? Well, this is it!!! My kids LOVE it and beg me to let them play!!
So what's so special about it??
WELL, this card game forces them to practice identifying 3 ways to say time to the o'clock, half past, quarter after, and quarter to. They must get 3 of a TIME (similar to 3 of a kind:) to get a match. There is an analog clock, a digital clock, and a written form to go with each time. Each player picks 3 cards to start. There is a FLIPPER in charge of flipping the cards over. Once one is flipped, anyone can take it if they need it, but they must discard one face up on the pile so the cycle keeps going until no one can use the top card. Then the flipper flips the next card. The player with the most matches at the end wins!!
The greatest part about this is that it makes them strategize, think, problem solve, and practice fractional times which is very difficult!
This is also SUPER EASY TO DIFFERENTIATE!! There are 4 sets of cards, one for each fractional time. This way you could have a set for each and allow certain students to play each of them based on their needs. You can also combine a few matches from 2, 3, or all of them to make it more challenging for other kids! :) PERFECT!!
So what's included:
Game Directions for Students

4 Sets of Playing Cards (o'clock, half past, quarter after, quarter to)
This set has really helped reinforce time skills with my students ON TOP of making it FUN!!!
