Product Description

The project includes the following steps:

Day 1:

1.Brainstorm: students brainstorm a list of potential goals to set. The teacher might have students share some of their ideas with the class.

2.Goal Setting: Students set a goal for themselves and write about why this goal is meaningful for them.

3.Action plan: Students create an action plan where they outline steps to help them succeed in achieving their goal.

Day 30:

1.Reflection: students reflect upon their experience after 30 days and record whether or not they were successful and what difficulties they encountered.

2.Presentation: Students may present their results to the class or in small groups to help celebrate their successes or gain motivation from the success of others.

•Setting goals is a great way for students to practice self reflection and maintain a positive growth mindset. This project allows students to set their own goal and make an action plan to achieve their goal in 30 days.

•After 30 days there is a follow up activity for students to assess whether or not they successfully achieved their goal.

•The great part about this project is that you can do it again and again! Your students can challenge themselves and set goals throughout the year.

•Lessons should always be personally meaningful to our students. This activity allows students to set goals that are meaningful for them. The possibilities are endless!

***Teachers! Why not complete this assignment with your students? Model the growth mindset and show your students the importance of being lifelong learners!****
