Rhythm:

This book is organized in the first few sections to cover Rhythm Studies. Rhythms covered in these worksheets are Whole, Half, Quarter, Eighth, Sixteenth notes, and Whole Rests, Half Rests, Quarter Rests, Eighth Rests, and Sixteenth Rests. Rhythm worksheets increase in content difficulty as you progress through the pages. Rhythm activities also include 4/4, 3/4, and 2/4 Time Signature Studies, Beat Placement, and Rhythm Composition Studies. All Rhythm Worksheets progress in difficulty, covering all levels from K-12. Music Math is covered later in this book, but rhythm addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is included in this section. ELA is also integrated in some elementary rhythm activities as it relates rhythms with syllables.

Pitch:

Pitch is then covered in the following sections of this book. Pitch activities also cover all levels from K-12. Content of Worksheets include students ability to identify notes on Spaces, Lines, Note Names, and whether notes move up or down. Treble Clef, Bass Clef, Intervals, Stem Placement and Pitch Composition content learning is also also covered, and presented for all levels K-12. Color By Note Activities are also included, students will have to identify the correct pitch to reveal the color they are to use in certain spots in the picture.

Solfege:

Solfege worksheets assess students ability to identify the different hand symbols for solfege. Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Ti & Do are obviosly the main focus of study here. Fourteen different worksheets & multiple activities range from easy to difficult to properly assess your students ability to identify the solfege symbols. Sight reading, and sight singing are not a part of the solfege worksheets.

Games/Activities

The next section is designed as fun activities that assess student understanding of the essential fundamentals of music. These activities listed below cover the following: Rhythms & Rests, Pitch Notation, Musical Symbols, Dynamics, & The Musical Instruments

Activity Set 1: Students follow the musical symbols, or rhythms through the maze to reach the exit. (5 Activities Total)

Activity Set 2: Students partner up and tally how many times their partner can draw the following musical symbols or rhythms in 60 seconds. (4 Activities Total)

Activity Set 3: Students will cut out the musical symbols, rhythms, or dynamics and paste them in order by size, loudness, or by their correct names. (11 Activities Total)

Activity Set 4: Students will draw lines matching musical symbols, rhythms, or dynamics to their correct names on the opposite side of the page. (12 Activities Total)

Activity Set 5: Students will correctly spell the names of the musical symbols, musical instruments, rhythms, dynamics below the symbols. (4 Activities Total)

Activity Set 6: Students will play the traditional game of Tic-Tac-Toe but instead of using X & O, one student will use a #(Sharp) sign and the other student will use a b(Flat) sign. (1 Activity Total)

Composers:

The next section covers Classical Composers. Classical Composers covered are Bach, Vivaldi, Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Shubert, Rossini, and Joplin, Copland, and John Williams. Each Composer has their own set of 5 different activities including Listening Logs, Social Media Profiles, Biography Activities, Composition Journal (Easy) and Composition Journal (Advanced). (60 Activities Total)

The Musical Instruments:

The next section of this book covers activities assessing your students ability to identify instruments from the String Family, Brass Family, Woodwind Family, and Percussion Family.

Music in Math:

This next section not only assess your students knowledge of Rhythm Notation, The Musical Instruments, and The Musical Symbols, it engages your students in activities that require them to use Mathematical Data Analysis skills from Elementary to Advanced levels. Students engage in musical activities that broaden their understanding of Pie Charts, Tally Charts, Bar Graphs, and Pie Graphs.

Color By Note:

The final section of this book covers the musical symbols, rhythms, and dynamics in more simple elementary coloring activities. These are also included in the pitch section of the book, but are more cognitively demanding as students must identify the pitch to reveal the color they are supposed to use.
