Hand and upper extremity strength are important components of handwriting and school work. These activities include 31 days (in calendar format) of these unique activities. NONE of these activities include a handwriting component thus can be use a motivator and for all ages.
These activities are intended for preschool and elementary school children but can be used for all ages for children with special abilities. These can be used at home or in centers at school. The materials are common household items and listed below.
Materials needed: squirt bottle, scrap paper, straws, string, construction paper, wax sticks, eye droppers, colored paperclips, checkers, cotton balls, clothes pins, beach ball or balloon, laundry basket or plastic box, foam cups, popsicle sticks, tongs, hole puncher, paper plate, yarn, q-tips, washable paint, cookie cutters or stencils, glue, crayons, tape. scissors
Optional materials: chalk, the outdoors/a brick wall.
