Pi Day is a day for math teachers and students to take a break from the mind-bending curriculum and celebrate the most recognized constant in the world – Pi! (And of course, to eat circle foods to!) Use one, some, or all of these fun Pi Day activities to help your students celebrate the nerdiest day in the year!
Almost ALL GRADES and ALL LEVELS can participate in these activities!! (Although younger students may need help measuring.)
#1 - Pi Day Food Measurement - measure diameters and circumferences of circle foods to find where Pi comes from (table and sign up sheet included)
#2 - Pi Number Search - find the first 8 roundings of Pi in a number search!
#3 - "Where in the School Are the Digits of Pi?" School-wide Scavenger Hunt (My FAVORITE!!) Send your students around the school on a scavenger hunt for the first 8 digits of Pi!
# .14 – EAT THE FOOD!
I hope you and your students can enjoy this "holiday" to the fullest!
