This is a fun card game for students to review rounding numbers though thousands. Some cards give students a number and ask them to round it to a certain place value. On other cards, students are given four numbers and asked which one would be 7,000 when rounded to the nearest thousand, or 4,340 when rounded to the nearest ten. These cards can be used as task cards or to play BAM!
Directions: Put cards in the center of the group of players. Player draws a card and answers the question. If the player is correct, s/he keeps the card. If the player is incorrect, the card is returned to the pile. If a player draws a BAM! card, all of that player's cards must be returned to the pile, and the BAM! card is put to the side. Play continues until all cards are used. The student with the most cards is the winner!
Included are 26 problem cards, three BAM! cards, directions, an optional student recording sheet, and an answer key. This game is helpful to have on hand for early finishers. It also makes an engaging math center
