This file is a plethora of Physical Education games for the elementary population (K-6). In my final year of college at Adelphi University, I was a part of an Elementary Curriculum class where our last assignment was to create a 20 lesson notebook of various elementary games. This is the ZIP file of the notebook of all 19 students within my class meaning within the file is 380 elementary games.
Each one of these games include:
-Game/activity title & description
-Behavioral objectives in all 3 domains (psychomotor, cognitive, and affective)
-Inclusion strategy for a specific disability
-Interdisciplinary connection for a specific subject
The categories within the 380 games include:
-Chasing, Fleeing, Dodging
-Jumping & Landing
-Kicking & Punting
-Throwing & Catching
The various types of assessments within the games are:
-True or False Questions
-Multiple Choice Sheets
-The various disabilities covered within the activities and games include:
The Interdisciplinary Connections within the games and activities include:
-English Language Arts & Literacy
-Music & Art
-Health & Wellness
Use all of these games and lessons to enrich your students and make sure that students of all abilities are taken care of within each lesson. A lot of teachers may forget about students by accident who have varied levels of ability because it is easier to teach one way and not differentiate instruction. This plethora of games will give you a chance to make sure everyone is included and gives different strategies on how to implement these ideas. The connections to various subject areas can help gain support for the physical education program from teachers of other subject areas as well as administrators.
