Provide your students a different, tactile way to practice solving logarithmic equations. A variety of types of equations are included that require students to apply their knowledge of properties of logarithms, solving quadratic equations, and logarithmic equations.
Students enjoy this activity because they receive immediate feedback about their solutions since they have to find a match from the different pieces. Logarithm dominoes are a great change of pace from bookwork and worksheets.
If you want to avoid using scissors and glue/tape, you can always ask students to fill in the worksheet with the domino equations and solutions in the correct order instead of cut and pasting.
The zip file contains docx and pdf files.
Mathematical Connections' goal is to connect prior knowledge, conceptual understanding, relevancy (when possible), and procedural fluency to the core math topics taught in the middle and high school grades.
