This project was created for use during a unit study of the Appalachian Trail, but it could be used as a general Science or Non Fiction animal study. Students are to investigate an animal and it's habitat and other additional facts. Following their research, students create a 3D animal! Children get creative, and use recycle items such as milk gallons for a raccoon, paper towel rolls, pine cones, etc..
Once the 3D animals have been created, the students will create a museum box (out of tissue box) in order to attach the facts and details investigated about their specific animal around the sides so that when the animal sits on top, the information will be surrounding.
