This set of 146 PowerPoint slides feature an array of artists who mostly work in ceramics and sculpture (historical and contemporary). I use this as a weekly warm-up; students take Cornell Notes about the artist. Slides contain images, notes (complied from various sources on the Internet; I did not cite my sources), and links to websites and YouTube videos that are about the artist. Students were then quizzed on a set of artists using their notes. Artists include: Robert Arneson, Juan Quezada Celado, Alexander Calder, Takashi Murakami, George Hart, Elizabeth Berrien, and Eva Zeisel. This PowerPoint can be altered and added to as needed. This is a great item for a new sculpture/ceramics teacher who wants to add a little art history into the daily class routine.
