This little activity allows students to cut and paste 3D figure names and match them with their pictures. After creating nets (not included) and toothpick and marshmallow models, students can count the faces, edged and vertices and fill in the chart. I have students colour each face on the nets a different colour before assembling them, to make counting the faces easier. I give each of the 7 nets to a different group of students and then we share them for this follow up activity. Students can build the toothpick and marshmallow models and then disassemble and count the marshmallows (vertices) and toothpicks (edges) to make completing the chart easier. The 2nd page looks at 3D figures with curved faces and edges and allows students to differentiate between these solids and ones with flat faces and straight edges.
