This is a chant I use with my students while on their desk they have different 3D shape blocks. During the part of the chant where I ask, "Can I get some shapes?" They respond by standing up and waving around whichever shapes they'd like saying "We've got your shapes, we've got your shapes."
During the descriptions of specific shapes though, they can only hold up the shapes they're describing. You can play it as a game where students are 'out' if they hold up the wrong shape, or it can just be a fun chant to practice 3-d shape properties.
This chant covers 3 3D shapes: rectangular prism, triangular prism, and cube, but you could certainly add more.
I ended the chant with the refrain, but you could certainly keep it going w/naming the different shapes out of order. After a week of practicing, I let students lead the chant.
Students should be out of their seats waving shapes in the air. This is supposed to be fun!
