This is a great introduction or lesson on 3-D Solid figures and their properties. Included in this set are three versions:
~you can choose from a color or blackline cover!
~Version 1 is a 25 page (1/2 sheet) booklet that goes over a cone, cube, cylinder, rectangular prism, pyramid, and sphere. There is a page where the kids get to cut and paste what the object looks like and what a real world representation of that shape looks like (for example, a basket ball). Each shape also include a place where the kids can write down how many faces it has, vertices it has, and if it rolls, slides, and stacks. This has numbered pages and must be copied single sided.
~Version 2 is a 19 page (1/2 sheet) booklet that is just like the first one, but the title pages are not there. This is the page saver option and can be copied double sided. The pages are numbered, but there are like pages per sheet, so the teacher can preassemble by cutting and stapling.
~Version 3 is a 26 page (1/2 sheet) booklet that is just like the second version except there are NO page numbers. This is the page saver option and can be copied double sided. Because the pages are not numbered, it is recommended that the teacher preassemble by cutting and stapling the book.
~1 printable (posters) for your classroom with a poem of the shapes
~2 solid shapes assessment worksheets where the students match the shape to its name
-24 pieces (cards) to a solid shapes matching game. In both color and blacklines!
This is a wonderful set for your kindergarten, first grade, or second grade students! They will love it and it is quick and easy. No prep time for you besides printing the copies! The kids create the whole booklet!
