In this activity, I provided 3D manipulatives to complete this activity. They simply fill in the number of vertices and edges in the correct columns. Afterwards, I assign each student one 3 dimensional shape and they create it by using toothpicks and mini marshmallows. The mini marshmallows represent the vertices and the toothpicks represent the edges.
*This document has two pages with the same chart to give you the option to print two sheets on one page. This will allow you to save paper.
This can also be used as a math center activity. Just place the sheets inside a plastic sleeve and provide students with dry-erase markers, erasers, and the 3D manipulatives.
