Students will color in the number of questions out of six answered correctly on the pretest. After instruction, they will retake the same test and record the number of questions out of six answered correctly to see their growth!
Give pretest before you introduce the concept. Have your student(s) record the number correct on their tracking page. Once you have given student instruction and practice, give the test again to see their improvements! Have student(s) record the number correct on their tracking page.
Print and cut out the beach ball manipulatives. Print and cut the 24 ‘Beach Ball Array’ task cards. Print a copy of the recording sheet for each student. Students will use the beach balls to create arrays for multiplication problems provided on the task card. Then, they need to record the answer to the multiplication problem on their recording sheet.
Cut & Paste Activity:
Students will cut out the array pictures and paste them next to the correct multiplication equation.
Students will draw pictures to represent specified multiplication equations. Use these as a homework assignments or a quick check of skills.
