3.RL.9: Compare and contrast characters, settings, and plots of two different stories by the same author about the same or similar characters.
There are two graphic organizers- one to use for individual stories and one to use for combining information to allow for comparing and contrasting!
First one: identify setting, characters, and plot from one story;
Second one: compare/contrast two stories: setting, characters and plot;
We are using two excepts from Flat Stanley and Flat Stanley: The Mount Rushmore Calamity! We will use the first one twice, once for each book. Then, we will use both organizers to combine information into the second one! (We being my third grade team!)
Can be adapted for any stories or chapters from books! Can be used in any grade level when comparing and contrasting fictional stories.
