Pearson Reading Street 2013 CCSS
America's Champion Swimmer-Gertrude Ederle
Unit 4 Week 4
This is a Pearson Reading Street Powerpoint that I created for my weekly whole group instruction. On the second page of my powerpoints is a page that went you present the powerpoint you can click the “buttons” and go to that word or practice skills. The arrows on all the pages take you back to the home page. I have labeled the pages with numbers, so you know if multiply slides go with one “button”.
How I used these in 2nd and 3rd grade General Education!
I used the vocabulary at the beginning of each day and included movements with the words. Monday’s main focus was front loading the vocabulary and the following days were review of the words. On Monday the students had to fill out their personal vocabulary book. They had to copy the definition, sentence and draw a picture of each work. I timed them for each word. Tuesday the vocabulary review included introducing the movements. Students often led the creation of the movements. Tuesday through Thursday I did practice skills as the primary whole group instruction and Friday was the assessment. This powerpoint led daily whole group and I used activities that matched the weekly skills, vocabulary and spelling for centers.
