This resource is meant to be a weekly review of the Common Core reading informational standards involving text features. This can be used for homework, morning work, or classwork and would be perfect to use during a Informational Unit or after the unit for reinforcement.

This resource contains 4 sets of different text features (two sets are frog themed and the other is brain themed). The students will analyze a page or set of text features each week. Each day of the week they will complete a different assignment or task with the week’s page or set of text features.
I have included four options for the daily assignments (on pages 5-8 and page 9 includes a graphic organizer for option 8 or any other purpose) for you to choose from to use based on your students' needs. The options are differentiated with the first choice being the easiest and the last option being the most difficult. I have also included a blank directions page if you want to write in your own directions for the daily assignments (page 10).
Print the directions you want to use and the text features set and questions for the week. Give the students the handout (page 12) to record their homework on or a blank piece of notebook paper. A journal or notebook could also be used.
For each option, Monday through Wednesday are general open ended responses to the text features and Thursday is a set of questions specific to each set or page of text features. An answer key with suggested answers and specific common core alignment is provided for each passage.
