This is an assessment covering skills third graders should have mastered by the end of the year. It could also be given as a pre-assessment to incoming third graders.
Skills covered include:
-Place Value (expanded form, word form, standard form, place, value)
-Multiplication (fact fluency, 2 digit by 1 digit)
-Addition and Subtraction to 5 digits with regrouping
-Multiplication/Division fact families
-Word Problems (1 and 2 step)
-Fractions (identifying, comparing, equivalency, adding/subtracting like denominators)
-Equations with Missing Numbers (addition, subtraction, multiplication)
-Properties of Multiplication
-Measuring to the Nearest Half-Inch
-Choosing a Unit of Measurement
-Reading a Thermometer
The questions on the assessment align to the Oklahoma Academic Standards, but are easily adapted to fit Common Core.
