3rd grade students will use math centers to name fractions, draw fraction representations, identify fractions on a number line and build with unit fractions in order to build understandings of fractional numbers with this pack of hands on centers and print and go worksheets.
4 Hands on fraction centers have been included. Each center also comes with 2 print and go worksheet pages that can be used in class, for homework, or as a combination of both!
Math Center #1: A simple memory game. Students will match the picture representation of a fraction with the fraction written in numeric form. This game can be played as memory or as an individual matching activity.
Math Center #2: Students use a small game piece to move along a number line and to identify the placement of a fraction on the number line.
Math Center #3: Students color in station cards to create visual representations of fractions written in numeric form.
Math Center #4: Students build fraction visuals using unit fraction pieces. Students then write an equation showing the fraction as the sum of unit fractions.
