Product Description

If you're teaching the standard: "Express whole numbers as fractions and recognize

fractions that are equivalent to whole numbers" then this game may be helpful for you!

This game includes 19 fraction models and 19 fractions greater than 1 that match the models. There are 5 options of ways you can use these cards:

1. Turn over all cards and play a matching game! Try to be the player that matches the most models with their fraction.

2. Each partner needs a set of cards. Flip over all cards face UP. The goal is to be the first player to match up each picture with the correct fraction.

3. Play war! Divide the cards evenly between two players. Each player turns over a card. Whichever card has the highest WHOLE number is the winner of that round.

4.Give each student a set of the small cards. Have students complete a cut and paste matching activity independently.

5. Use the picture only cards and number them 1-19. Place cards around the room or on student desks. Have students walk around and write the fraction for each model.
