Description

These Google Forms quizzes cover all 3rd grade Measurement & Data standards. 21 math assessments aligned to the CCSS are included.

This digital resource is editable. You can edit/add/delete questions to fit your state's standards.

Standards/Topics Covered:

3.MD.1 - 21 total questions: I can tell and write time to the nearest minute. I can use a number line diagram to solve word problems involving addition and subtraction of time intervals in minutes.

3.MD.2 - 22 total questions: I can measure and estimate liquid volumes and masses of objects using grams, kilograms, and liters. I can add, subtract, multiply, or divide to solve one-step word problems involving masses or volumes.

3.MD.3 - 30 total questions: I can draw a scaled picture graph and a scaled bar graph to represent a data set with several categories. I can use scaled graphs to solve one- and two-step problems.

3.MD.4 - 39 total questions: I can measure the lengths of various objects to the nearest whole, half, or quarter inch. I can organize the measurements on a line plot.

3.MD.5 & 3.MD.6 - 18 total questions: I understand that the area of a plane shape can be measured in square units. I can measure area by counting unit squares.

3.MD.7 - 24 total questions: I can measure area by using what I know about multiplication and addition. I can find the area of a rectangle by tiling it and by multiplying side lengths. I can use the distributive property of multiplication to find the area of rectangles.

3.MD.8 - 15 total questions: I can solve real-world math problems involving the perimeter of polygons.

Recognize area as additive. Find areas of rectilinear figures by decomposing them into non-overlapping rectangles and adding the areas of the non-overlapping parts, applying this technique to solve real world problems.
Use tiling to show in a concrete case that the area of a rectangle with whole-number side lengths 𝘢 and 𝘣 + 𝘤 is the sum of 𝘢 × 𝘣 and 𝘢 × 𝘤. Use area models to represent the distributive property in mathematical reasoning.
Solve real world and mathematical problems involving perimeters of polygons, including finding the perimeter given the side lengths, finding an unknown side length, and exhibiting rectangles with the same perimeter and different areas or with the same area and different perimeters.
Multiply side lengths to find areas of rectangles with whole-number side lengths in the context of solving real world and mathematical problems, and represent whole-number products as rectangular areas in mathematical reasoning.
Find the area of a rectangle with whole-number side lengths by tiling it, and show that the area is the same as would be found by multiplying the side lengths.
