Don't struggle every week to find relevant homework or math station work that matches your current standards. Each month of calendar math focuses on a group of Common Core math standards and provides one problem for every single day of the month.
This month's edition of Calendar Math continues to focus on multiplication and division. It uniquely asks students to write word problems that fit the criteria specified in each day's problem. Students must understand vocabulary like product and quotient. They can be creative while developing a deep understanding of the the connection between multiplication and division.
This resource is very simple to manage. Typically, teachers can print the calendar of problems and the answer sheet back to back so that students only have one paper to manage. This month I decided to give students more room to write. You may decide to use notebook paper or print multiple answer sheets.
Calendar Math is perfect for homework, problem of the day warmups, or math centers.
Because this month's tasks are a little more rigorous, I have created a blog post about how I begin this word problem writing process with my students. Check it out at If They Can Write It

We have other months of Calendar Math available and will be updating January - May to reflect 2018 dates.
