### Description

This digital resource reviews the critical 3rd grade math skills of multiplication, division, fractions (bars), fractions on a number line, elapsed time and area through a fun camping theme. Your students need nothing more than Google Slides to complete this review project.

As your students work through this fun math activity they will practice a wide variety of math skills as they (virtually) rent supplies, set up their campsite, make trail mix, plan for a hike, prepare for dinner and make s'mores. This resource is ideal for distance learning.

Your students will find the most success as each step of the activity is briefly modeled and then students are allowed to work independently on the assignment.

**Included in the activity you will find: **

⭐ Step 1: Renting supplies- Students will choose which 5 supplies they want to rent for their camping trip and determine the number of each item they want to rent. Students will use multiplication to find the total cost of each item.

⭐ Step 2: Setting Up the Camp Ground- Given the area of four items in their campground, students will determine how to fit all of the important pieces onto their campsite grid.

⭐ Step 3: Making Trail Mix- Your students are making trail mix to prepare for a hike... but they only have a 1/4 cup measure! Your students will use fraction bars to determine equivalent fractions so they can complete the recipe.

⭐ Step 4: Going on a Hike- Your students will plan their hike by plotting each of the sights (ex: a pond, a scenic outlook) on a number line.

⭐ Step 5: Preparing for Dinner- Dinner needs to be ready at 6:30 but each of the different parts of dinner take a different amount of time to prepare. Your students will use a number line to find out what time each dinner item needs to start being prepared.

⭐Step 6: Making S'mores- You want to make s'mores but have a different number of each ingredient. Your students will use division to determine how many s'mores they can make with each ingredient.
