This .zip file contains a sample student worksheet (files named physicalwkst3s) and a sample teachers' notes document (files named physicalscience3t). The files are duplicated in .docx and .pdf formats, for your convenience.
First, please look at the physicalwkst3s file. This is meant for the students, but it is really the meat of the lesson; there are no further instructions in the teachers' notes file (physicalscience3t). The teachers' notes file only contains the objectives, a few tips and technical notes, and the NGSS alignment.
I developed this lesson for the Learning Equipment Supply Service, a non-profit organization that serves public school science teachers with technical support and lab equipment loans. The proceeds of the sales of my lesson plans (the ones which are not free) will assist that organization in its non-profit mission.
I have taken quite a literal interpretation of the NGSS in the lesson, as you will notice by the tight correspondence of the lesson objectives to the DCI's of the NGSS listed at the end of the teachers' notes document.
This lesson uses Tumble Buggy battery-powered car toys.
Here is a video that shows two Tumble Buggy cars. The YouTube video notes give suggestions on where to obtain the cars.
Thank you for your interest in my NGSS lesson.
