These 3rd grade searches are a great way to practice the Dolch words with your kids and have fun in the process! This packet contains 25 3rd grade searches. These searches are great for practicing instant recognition for sight words. Use these in a center, for early finishers, homework, morning work or during choice time. You can include them in your sub plans. They are always great to have handy and can be used throughout the school year! Plus, the kids think they are tons of fun!
This set includes:
• All 40 3rd Grade Dolch sight words
• 25 word searches
• Answer keys
The 40 words are divided into four groups of 8 words. For each word group I made up five differently configured word searches. I did this so the kids can practice each word group many times.
You could also hand out the five different searches at the same time so kids are less likely to be able to copy from each other ; )
The word searches are set up where the words only go horizontally and vertically. I put each word group answer keys together on one sheet to make it easy to check different versions at the same time.
Use these word searchers or word puzzles in a center, for early finishers, homework, morning work or during choice time. You can include them in your sub plans. They are always great to have handy and can be used throughout the school year!
I have a companion product called 3rd Grade Dolch Crosswords & Word Scrambles
. For example, worksheet #A1 in word searches uses the same words as worksheet #A1 in crosswords and word scrambles. You can copy the word searches and crosswords and scrambles back to back for some fun sight word practice!
