In this version of the game, students are shown a slide with a problem to solve. (You can project the pdf slide or print out to show under a flex cam.) Using an index card or sticky note, students have XX minute(s) to solve the problem and record their answer. On a given signal, students trade their answer card with a partner BEFORE the answer choices are shown on the slide. (You could also collect the cards and redistribute so that no one knows who’s card they have.)
Once the trade has been completed, the answer choice slide is shown. Students move to the corner of the room that shows the answer choice as it is written on their card.
Math Talk Discussions can be around why the choice was correct or what they think may have happened to produce a wrong answer choice.
