These cards give students practice analyzing four digit numbers in a variety of ways. Students identify the written form, expanded form, place value model and the number “decomposed” into different thousands, hundreds, tens or ones. Three of the four models represent the same value; students need to identify the model that does not name the same amount as the other three. Students record the letter of the model/number that does not name the same amount and record why.
Students practice representing numbers up to 9,999 in multiple ways according to place value, with and without models. (For example: 2 hundreds, 3 tens and 28 ones = 258).
There are 2 sets of 24 cards included in this product, for a total of 48 cards. Answer keys are included.
