THIS IS THE FIRST MATERIAL I HAVE DESIGNED FOR DYSLEXIC STUDENTS SO MULTIPLE SENSES ARE USED. IT IS QUITE STRAIGHTFORWARD AND CAN BE ADAPTED TO YOUR OWN IMAGINATION. IT WORKED REALLY WELL FOR ME. I INTRODUCED THE COLOURS FIRST. THEN I PRONOUNCE THE 4 BASIC SOUNDS. THEN I INTRODUCE THE WORDS (VOCABULARY) AND THE STUDENTS HAVE TO PUT THE WORD IN THE CORRESPONDING COLUMN. THEN I PRESENT THE PICTURES BUT MOST OF THEM ARE ALREADY KNOWN. I USE PICTURES TO EMPHASIS ON THE OBJECTIVES OF THE SESSION. 4 COLOURS SHOULD BE ENOUGH FOR A FIRST INTRODUCTION TO THE SOUNDS I EVEN CUT IT DOWN TO 2 SOMETIMES DEPENDING ON THE LEVEL OF THE STUDENTS. THIS COULD ALSO BE USED IN SO MANY WAYS: AS AN ASSESSMENT OR END OR BEGINNING OF THE YEAR GAME MATCHING THE PICTURES (TO BE PROVIDED ON MY NEXT PRODUCT) WITH THE SOUNDS THIS COULD LEAD TO ENDLESS ACTIVITIES IF YOU LAMINATE THE WORDS. I BELIEVE IT COULD ALSO BECOME A REVISION BASE FOR POST 16 EDUCATION.MORE SOUNDS TO COME. I HOPE THIS CAN HELP SOMEONE OUT THERE. LET ME KNOW HOW YOU USED IT! MERCI! :)
