4 French Class Transition Video "Thursday" for CI TCI TPRS _90% Target Language

Supporting document included
This is an additional download that supports the video.
You can stay in French, create a 90% target language classroom and manage classroom behavior and flow much better when you take charge of your transitions - even when in a class with a wide spectrum of French skills.

♥ ♥ ♥ This is 76 seconds long and is sung by a professional musician and native speaker.

♥ ♥ ♥ Play it as students enter your classroom on Thursdays to set the mood that they will be speaking French. Soon they will be singing it.

The video activity you are purchasing includes in its supporting document:

Lyrics (PDF)
MP4 Video – you can download the video and/or stream.

Please read the lyrics and make sure you are happy with them. I do not teach French, but these songs were vetted by a native speaker/veteran French teacher and a non-native but superb French teacher.

Some French teachers disagree on word choice, fonts, and how to address students.

To avoid being disappointed and giving these wonderful videos a low rating, because you are disappointed, please read all the lyrics and just purchase the songs that match your teaching voice.

If they don’t, then please pass on them rather than purchase them and provide an unsatisfactory review.

French Starting Kit

Transition videos with music and voiceovers defy the conventional wisdom of comprehensible input for extended stretches before output. For some reason, music short circuits and surpasses this traditional wisdom and research! Students start saying and singing the words in these videos in the appropriate context! Why? Because I took all the expressions my students need in my class and after hearing the music, the words just fall out of their mouths! You can visit my blog for more about this.

How do you use transtion videos?
Use these three steps to take charge of your transitions.

1. Make a slide for each activity in today’s lesson.

2. Insert one of my brief transition videos before the slide and train your students to watch the video in Italian. Soon they are imitating the voice over or else singing the song. Do this every day and when you are observed by your administrators they will note your seamless transitions.

3. Buy a remote presentation device or wireless mouse and click to the next slide from any part of the room so you can stand close to students who struggle to behave.
