Product Description
Amazing set of lessons to reinforce the -ar, -er, and -ir regular verbs while talking about el tiempo libre.

All lessons include a slideshow (in Keynote and PPT format), activity handouts, checks for understanding, and an exit ticket assessment. All materials are provided (with the exception of post-its) in this extremely useful set!

Lesson 1:
1. Present conjugation, the present tense, and verb endings
2. Practice in pairs using post-it notes with the subjects and the verb endings. Students will build around a verb root to come up with an accurate translation of a simple sentence.
Ex: I walk. (1 student finds the correct subject and the other finds the correct ending to create the sentence YO caminO)
Materials needed: post-its

Lesson 2:
1. Review conjugation
2. Notes on frequency phrases
3. Human BINGO: Get students up and moving, using Spanish to ask their classmates about things they do in their free time. A summary activity at the end of the activity helps expand students' conjugation skills beyond just the yo and tú form.

Lesson 3:
1. Review conjugation
2. Press play on your powerpoint and watch the magic happen! Students play "Zoom Out," which gives them insight into the process of using new information to change a verb's conjugation. Through a series of pictures, students identify infinitives, conjugate verbs, and reconjugate verbs to see the relationship between the subject and the verb ending. Really cool activity!

Lesson 4:
1. Review conjugation
2. Personal writing: En mi tiempo libre
Students use the yo form of verbs to write what they do in their free time.
3. Listening/reading activity: En el tiempo libre de Mateo
Students will hear information from the perspective of Mateo and summarize his free-time activities in the "él" form.
4. Compare/Contrast: Students will compare and contrast the activities that they do with the activities that Mateo does in his spare time.
