    Description

    These versions of Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth, Othello, and Julius Caesar are part of my Shakespeare in 30 collection. Each play in this series has been adapted for teens to tackle in a half an hour. You can use these scripts for Reader's Theatre (1-2 class periods), Staged Readings (one week), or full productions (3-4 weeks+). This resource has been tested and performed with students in grades 6-12.

    *Macbeth & the Witches:* This abridgment focuses on Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, Banquo, and the witches. 7 roles + 11 extras (apparitions and parade of kings)

    *Juliet & Romeo* This is an exploration of role/gender reversal with an emphasis on the fight scenes. 6F/1M

    *Julius Caesar* Abridged to focus on major themes and relationships. 10 roles and as many extras as you can muster for the crowd.

    *Othello* Abridged to focus on major themes and relationships. 7 principals + 7 extras.
