The 40 Transition Times and Quiet Line Activities
packet is a collection of games and activities you can use with your students when you are:
♦ Waiting in line
♦ On a bus, waiting to get off
♦ At the end your class with an extra 5 minutes to spare
♦ Having indoor recess
Many of the activities are classics, some with a novel twist. You’ll notice that there are two different types of borders used throughout this packet. These border are an extra visual cue that identify activities that require paper and pencil to complete.
You know your students best. Not all activities will work well for certain children. Keep personalities and “trigger-issues”
in mind when you select activities to use. Also, we’ve included a Noise Meter to help you gauge which activities will work best for different situations, especially those when being quiet is especially important.
Teacher Prep Time
Print this packet on cardstock. Cut each sheet in half. Hole punch the left corner and put them on a ring. Keep the collection of cards in easy reach on your desk and you’ll never be at a loss for how to keep your students occupied.
