NATIVITY PRESS… Christmas Creative Writing and Readers’ Theater

This is a really fun activity that will get your students writing, thinking, and getting up in front of the class to present in a creative way. Students will assume the role of a reporter and get to interview a figure present at the Birth of Christ. Then students will present the interview in a news show format. The printables you are given will also look great on a bulletin board. Additionally, this packet includes the readers' theater, Bethlehem Bound, which is a great way to begin the entire lesson. It also includes haiku printables focusing on the main figures on the night Jesus was born. Programmable Christmas Printables
This is a set of three printables that you can program yourself. Click on the preview to see what it's like to make sure you can use them. In each of the printables, a winter-related character (penguin, elf, snowman) are carrying a sign. You write what you like in the small sign. This can be a math problem for kids to solve or anything you can think of. I write a prefix/suffix in the sign and have my students write the definition below. This is part of our Latin curriculum I use in my classroom. It's the actual quiz paper I use before placing the words. I hope you find it useful!
